My name is Kent Crutchfield and I am running for Town council in the Valois district of Pointe Claire.
I have knocked on everyone's door and chatted with many of you and I heard your concerns. Not all of you
were home but I left a flyer in your mailbox on door. If anyone would like to meet in person, send me a
message at kent@hey.com and I will drop by for a chat.
I am running on a slate with the current Mayor Tim Thomas as we share many of the same ideas, hopes and aspirations for Pointe Claire. Some of the main highlights are the goals of protecting the Fairview Forest, reining in out of control development of massive condo buildings, and protection for Valois village.
On a more personal level, I will make myself available to any citizen who wants to discuss local issues such as flooding, potholes, stop signs, noise or traffic complaints. I will make it easier for citizens to navigate the municipal maze when trying to figure out who to talk to about permits, payments, taxes or other common issues which can be confusing at times.
I believe it is time for a fresh face and a new set of eyes on council for Valois. I believe that it is a duty to serve on council for you and that there should be term limits for all elected officials. It's time for a change.
